About Attappady Labour Bank

Attappady Labour Bank is intended to provide gainful employment to youth from tribal communities in order to enhance their income and improve their quality of life and well being and bring about social transformation.

The labour bank functions under the Block Samithi of Comprehensive tribal and PVTG development programme of Kudumbashree Mission. The programme aims at building institutions of women and enhancing their capacities. It also focusses on enhancing their capacity to build livelihoods and enhancement of income. The Block Samithi is the fourth tier institution of tribal women.

Any department or employee can approach the Block Samithi and labour would be provided in respective hamlets or adjacent areas with required expertise or qualifications. A MoU can be under taken with Block Samithi regarding tenure of work , expertise required, number of labour and emoluments. The Block Samithi would ensure employees from labour bank and ensure completion of work in stipulated time. The wages and other emoluments can be paid through NEFT transaction.

Labour Bank

Labour Bank is a group of trained and skilled Tribal youths pooled together by Kudumbasree. This includes Carpenter, Masons, Wireman, Plumbers etc.

These people are available on call and their service can be utilized by the required.
